Tuesday
Story Pals-Cows: 10 a.m. For ages 2-3. A theme-based story time featuring interactive and age-appropriate stories, songs, fingerplays, and activities. With an accompanying caregiver.
Read and Play: 11 a.m. For ages birth-24 months. A story time featuring lap games, tickles, bounces and rhymes followed by a playgroup for meeting and mingling. With an accompanying adult caregiver.
4-H STEM-Learning by Doing: 1 p.m. For ages 7-12. Register for this event today. Participants will have the opportunity to work through the engineering process as they design, build, and test their own mechanical creations Hands-on activities will encourage participants to try new ideas and observe the results of their work. This program is presented by a representative of the MD 4-H program. All attendees need to register.
Evening Story Time-Cows: 7 p.m. For all ages. End your day in a special way This story time, open to all ages, introduces stories through books, songs, and activities. Children 3 and younger must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

Join Skip Bird, Observatory Director of the Westminster Astronomical Society, as we find out what, when, and how a good crème rinse and some sunscreen can make things better. Medicare 101: 4 p.m. For adults. Are you eligible for Medicare in the coming months? Do you already have Medicare and want to learn more? Join us for a free 1 hour workshop that will include the four parts of Medicare and how they work, Medicare Supplement (Medigap) plans, find out if you qualify for Medicare Savings Programs (all Savings Programs are not low-income programs), free preventive services offered by Medicare, and learn how to protect yourself from healthcare fraud. X-Men After-Hours: 6:30 p.m. For ages 11-17. Register for this event today. Join our Teen Advisory Board from 6:30-8:30 pm as they celebrate the new X-Men movie with an after-hours party. There will be food, fun, games, and more Refreshments will be served. All attendees need to register. Permission slips are required and can be picked up at the Information Desk.

Pee Wee Pirates: 10 a.m. For ages 5-adults. Register for this event today. Ahoy there maties Sail the high seas in this rollicking adventure with Captain Grace O'Malley, the Irish Pirate Queen. Learn what life on a ship was really like in the 1500s and why people risked their lives to explore. But no landlubbers allowed. On My Own-Cats: 10:30 a.m. For ages 3-6. A theme-based story time for children who are ready for an independent, small group experience. All adult caregivers are welcome.
Read with a Furry Friend: 1 p.m. For ages 4-17. Monday afternoons are a time to read to a therapy dog provided by KPETS. Let the dogs help you reach your reading goal this summer - they are wonderful listeners Weather-permitting, we will meet in the shady park in front of the library. (Rainy days we will meet inside the library.)
Oh Say Can You See: 7 p.m. For all ages. Brian Reynolds, a volunteer serving at Fort McHenry will present a slide story about the War of 1812, in particular the September 1814 Battle of Baltimore. He will shed light on Francis Scott Key's writing of the Star Spangled Banner. A Freedom Shrine Document and Celebrating America Program.
