Pastor Appreciation Day was observed Oct. 23 at Carroll Lutheran School.
Students were encouraged to invite their church pastors for the occasion.
The school hosted a welcome reception, with light refreshments for the visiting pastors.
The entire student body then participated in a chapel service in honor of the pastors. The students led worship, recited the books of the Bible and Psalm 100, sang and offered a blessing to conclude the service.
Afterward, in the school cafeteria, each pastor was photographed with the student, or students, from his or her congregation.
The pastors also had an opportunity to walk the students to class and visit their classrooms.
Carroll Lutheran, a private Christian school in Westminster serving students in kindergarten through eighth grade, welcomes families from across the county and Pennsylvania.
