Kyla Renee Vala, daughter of Timothy and Janniver Vala, of Gretna, Neb., and Ralph Uriah Shaver, son of Ralph and Michelle Shaver, of Eldersburg, were married at the Durham Train Museum in Omaha, Neb. on Nov. 17, 2012.
The Rev. Phil Human performed the ceremony in the great hall of the train station.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents.
Maid of honor was Kelsey Vala, sister of the bride and matron of honor was Kirsten Fong, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Ann Barry, cousin of the bride, Cassie Lemon, Beth Collins, Julianna Bock and Willow Jensen.
The best man was Devin Shaver, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Corey and Thomas Shaver, brothers of the groom. Ushers were Scott Vala, uncle of the bride; Geoff Fong, brother-in-law of the bride; Les Gwartney and Jason Baker.
After a honeymoon to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, the newlyweds are residing in Gretna.
The bride is a graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College in Buckhannon, W.Va. She is the director of fun at Vala's Pumpkin Patch near Omaha.
The groom is a 2005 graduate of Liberty High School, a graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College, and graduated in 2011 from Creighton University in Omaha with a master's in business administration. He is the retail sales manager at Vala's Pumpkin Patch and an employee of H&R Block during tax season.
