Ravens Notebook: Harbaugh anticipates full workload for Suggs against Browns

OWINGS MILLS - Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said he expects outside linebacker Terrell Suggs to "take on a full share this week" against the Cleveland Browns.

Suggs made his season-debut amid Baltimore's loss to the Houston Texans in Week 7, just 5 ½ months removed from surgery to repair a partial tear of his right Achilles tendon.

Suggs played in 44 of the Ravens' 80 defensive snaps and recorded four tackles, a sack and two pass deflections.

He was in for 30 snaps during the first half, including for 13 of the Texans' first 19 plays from scrimmage.

"He was pretty close to [a full workload] last time anyway - not quite, but he was in that neighborhood," Harbaugh said. "We'll have to see. Obviously, it's only the second game back, so we'll have to see how it goes during the game and during the week."

Suggs indicated he's "slowly but surely" getting back to his normal self and that the bye week provided welcome rest for his surgically repaired Achilles tendon.

"An extra week always helps you to recover - that's why they put it in there," Suggs said. "It definitely helped that I didn't have to play two back-to-back games, and we got to see how the tendon feels after you play a game, and it felt pretty good. So, you just got to nurse it the whole week."

NOTE: The Ravens released a lengthy 15-player injury report Wednesday in a clear response to being fined $20,000 for not listing safety Ed Reed's torn labrum on previous injury reports.

The NFL levied the fine against Baltimore late last week.

Days later, the Ravens released the 15-player report that included triple the amount of names as the five-player list Baltimore issued leading up to its matchup with the Houston Texans prior to the bye week.

11 of the 15 players listed on Wednesday's report were full participants in Wednesday's practice. Defensive end Pernell McPhee (thigh) was the Ravens' lone non-participant. Wide receiver Jacoby Jones (foot), defensive tackle Haloti Ngata (shoulder) and cornerback Jimmy Smith (abs) each practiced on a limited basis.
