On June 6, 2012, northwest Baltimore County will be losing a true friend when Susan Ingram leaves the Community Times.
Susan has been with the Community Times for many years, as writer, reporter, editor, and photographer. She has been in charge of the newsroom for the past few years as well.
During that time, she has covered virtually everything that has happened in Owings Mills, Reisterstown, Glyndon, Randallstown, Woodstock-Granite, and the Greenspring Valley. She has done so as a true professional, bringing news to the public and presenting it in an accessible, fair, and interesting manner. We are used to seeing her everywhere, from the Reisterstown Festival to ROG meetings to school activities.
Because of her hard work and dedication, we've been kept up-to-date on events small and large and goings-on with our friends and neighbors. Susan has been a fixture, someone we rely on to keep us informed. This has really helped keep our community together because - thanks to the bridges of communication Susan has built - we stay in touch with each other. Her role cannot be under estimated or under appreciated. And she has done all this with a positive caring spirit, kindness, and good humor.
We join with many others to thank Susan Ingram for her service. She's a role model for all journalists. She will be missed but not forgotten, and we wish her well in all future endeavors.
