Charles Duane Zeigman, 77, of Manchester, died Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, at Carroll Hospice's Dove House in Westminster.

Born June 26, 1936, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Charles A. and Dorothy Naylor Zeigman. He was the husband of Elsie Jane Bosley Zeigman.

He was a retired sprinkler fitter for Local 536. He was an Army veteran and a member of the Hampstead American Legion, Westminster VFW and Hanover Eagles.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are children Denise Penn, Charlene McIntosh, Michelle Schubach, Debra Catron, Georgia Anna Hanson, and Richard, Buddy, Charles, David and Brian Brown; a brother, Ronnie Zeigman; 23 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Dorothy JoAnne Staab.

A memorial gathering will be held at the Hampstead American Legion at later date.

Arrangements are by Eckhardt Funeral Chapel in Manchester.
