Tech Center student receives Maryland Future Craftsman Award

Mitchell Sweatt, a senior at the Carroll County Career and Technology Center and Westminster High School, has received a Future Craftsman Award from the Building Congress & Exchange Foundation.
Each year the Building Congress & Exchange Foundation recognizes the accomplishments of high school students in pursuit of design and construction careers. The Foundation selects local students to receive "Future Craftsman Awards" and recognition at the Building Congress & Exchange's Annual Craftsmanship Awards Presentation.
Winners and their schools receive plaques to commemorate their dedication and commitment to the pursuit of a career in the construction industry. Each future craftsman also receives a grant to be applied toward the cost of tuition for further education in construction or the purchase of tools to begin work in a construction career.
The Building Congress & Exchange is Metropolitan Baltimore's premier organization for networking, education and business development for professionals in the construction industry.
