Nick Markakis, who missed the final month of last season as well as the postseason with a broken thumb, will see the first pitch of this season today when the Orioles open up against Cy Young Award winner David Price and the Tampa Bay Rays in St. Petersburg, Fla.

Markakis will bat leadoff as he did for much of last season after injuries to Brian Roberts and Nolan Reimold. Interestingly, Manny Machado will hit second. Most of the rest of the lineup is as expected, with Roberts batting ninth.

Nate McLouth is not in the starting lineup, letting right-handed batters Nolan Reimold (left field) and Steve Pearce (designated hitter) face the lefty Price.
