Florence L. Stephens, 84, of Owings Mills, died Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at Future Care Cherrywood Nursing Home in Reisterstown.
Born Feb. 14, 1930, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Edwin M. Derrenberger Sr. and Florence Eva McAleer Derrenberger. She was the wife of Allan F. Stephens, her husband of for 59 years, who died in September 2013.
She was a homemaker. She enjoyed reading, collecting dolls and gardening.
Surviving are children and spouses Karen and Bobby Brown, and Carol and Tom Crowell; grandchildren and spouses Shannon and Chick Haines, Caitlin and Mike Klucker, Chris Bauer, Tom and Justine Bauer, and Laura Bauer; great-granddaughters Hannah and Colleen Haines; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a brother, Edwin Derrenberger Jr.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral chapel. Interment will be in Garrison Forest Cemetery.
