University Scholars named

Annabelle Luebke, of Eldersburg, and Carlyn Thompson, of Westminster, have been honored as University Scholars at Susquehanna University.

The annual Scholars Program was held Nov. 1 in Susquehanna's Stretansky Concert Hall to recognize and congratulate the university's most successful student scholars. There were 182 honorees.

To be named a University Scholar, students must have earned a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.75 in full-time study for the past two semesters or equivalent credit hours of part-time study.

Luebke is a 2010 graduate of Liberty High School. She is a senior majoring in music education at Susquehanna and the daughter of Richard and Jean Luebke.

Thompson is a 2012 graduate of Westminster High School. She is a sophomore majoring in Spanish at Susquehanna and the daughter of Jim and Dianne Thompson.

The university is in Selinsgrove, Pa.
