Ann H. Deming, 87, of Westminster

Ann Helen Deming, 87, of Westminster, died Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, at Carroll Lutheran Village.

Born Aug. 22, 1926, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Kemp. She was the wife of Clyde F. Deming Jr., her husband of 44 years, who died in 1990.

She was a 1944 graduate of Seton High School in Baltimore. She worked as a physician's secretary and later as a business manager for the family construction business for 20 years.

In her later years, she was an avid reader, followed the Ravens and Orioles and enjoyed crossword puzzles and card playing.

Surviving are sons and spouses Clyde F. and Donna Deming III, of Hagerstown; Carl and Marsha Deming, of Ellicott City; Doug Deming and Karen Greenstein, of Finksburg; and James and Dani Deming, of Ft. Myers, Fla.; grandchildren Matthew, Michael, Brian, Luke, Zach, Andrew, Jaime and Caitlyn; and great-grandchildren Ava, Knox and Chase.

She donated her remains to the Maryland Anatomy Board for scientific research.

A memorial celebration will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, at Carroll Lutheran Village Chapel, 250 St. Luke Circle, Westminster.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Carroll Lutheran Village Residents Assistance Fund, 250 St. Luke Circle, Westminster, MD 21158.
