Story Pals-Beach: 10 a.m. For ages 2-3. A theme-based story time featuring interactive and age-appropriate stories, songs, fingerplays, and activities. With an accompanying caregiver.
Read and Play: 11 a.m. For ages birth-24 months. A story time featuring lap games, tickles, bounces and rhymes followed by a playgroup for meeting and mingling. With an accompanying adult caregiver.
Evening Story Time-Beach: 7 p.m. For all ages. End your day in a special way. This story time, open to all ages, introduces stories through books, songs, and activities. Children 3 and younger must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

Mad Science of Washington DC Presents Spectacular Science: 10 a.m. For ages 5-adults. Register for this event today. Explore the scientific process with this exciting show. Learn the science behind magic, explore air pressure, and see spectacular indoor fireworks. Discover the secret behind sublimation with our bubbling potions. All attendees need to register. This program is supported by Mount Garage Doors, Inc. in partnership with CCPL.
Lunchtime Concerts in the Park (Band TBA): Noon. For all ages. What better way to enjoy lunchtime than by listening to great music in the park. Brown bag it or grab a tasty treat in town and enjoy a terrific summer concert. Children 3 and younger must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.
Saturday
The Sound of Music Preview: 10 a.m. For all ages. Theater Without Limits, the resident summer theater company of North Carroll Community School, will present scenes and songs from their upcoming production of the beloved Rodgers & Hammerstein classic The Sound of Music. This performance is appropriate for all ages, so come on out to hear the Von Trapp family sing favorites like Do, Re, Mi, My Favorite Things, and many others. Feel free to sing along. Children 3 and younger must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.
Monday
Read and Play: 9:30 a.m. For ages birth-24 months. A story time featuring lap games, tickles, bounces and rhymes followed by a playgroup for meeting and mingling. With an accompanying adult caregiver.
On My Own-Cows: 10:30 a.m. For ages 3-6. A theme-based story time for children who are ready for an independent, small group experience. All adult caregivers are welcome.
Read with a Furry Friend: 1 p.m. For ages 4-17. Monday afternoons are a time to read to a therapy dog provided by KPETS. Let the dogs help you reach your reading goal this summer – they are wonderful listeners. Weather-permitting, we will meet in the shady park in front of the library. (Rainy days we will meet inside the library.)
Summer Fun Day: 1 p.m. For all ages. Join us from 1-3 pm for an afternoon of crafts and summer fun to kick off our Summer Reading Program, Fizz Boom Read. Children 3 and younger must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

Crafternoon-Arm Knitting: 3 p.m. For ages 10-adults. Register for this event today. Want to learn how to knit with only your arms? You can make a beautiful, handmade infinity scarf without needles. Come learn how to arm knit a warm and chunky scarf. Participants need to bring two skeins of super chunky yarn. (We used Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick.)
