John H. "Bud" Miller, 78, of Manchester, died Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at home.
Born Jan. 27, 1936, in Westminster, he was the son of the late Sterling A. Miller and Esther E. Bixler Miller. He was the husband of Catherine Belle Moser Miller, his wife of 46 years.
He served in the Army. He was a machinist for Black and Decker, and also worked for Baltimore County Public Schools.
Surviving are daughter Michele Bowman and husband Gary, of Manchester; a granddaughter, Micaela Bowman, of Manchester; and sisters Ethel Hughes and Ruthie Schreck, both of Westminster.
He was predeceased by a sister, Miriam Miller.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mark Smiley officiating. Interment will be in Meadow Branch Cemetery in Westminster.
