Olivia Cloverland Weaver, 83, of Reisterstown, died Friday, Jan. 17, 2014, at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster.
Born June 21, 1930, she was the daughter of the late William E. Merryman Sr. and Rhoda R. Becraft Merryman. She was the wife of the late Ambrose G. Weaver, who died in 2003.
She worked as a cook in several local restaurants, retiring after 35 years. She then worked in the Geriatric Nursing Field. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Purple Heart, Ladies Auxiliary of Disabled American Veterans, a life member of the Women of the Moose for 63 years, and a life member in both Ladies Auxiliaries of the VFW and the American Legion.
Surviving are children Veronica Barnhill, of Reisterstown, Owen Weaver, of Randallstown, and Michael Weaver, of Alabama; four brothers; three sisters; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by sons Ambrose Weaver Jr. and Thomas A. Weaver.
Friends may visit from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills, where prayers will be offered at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Internment will be at New Oakland Cemetery at Sykesville.
