Marguerite E. Bair, 89, of Littlestown

Marguerite E. Yealy Bair, 89, of Littlestown, Pa., died Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014, at the home of her daughter in York Springs.

Born Jan. 5, 1925, in Adams County, she was the daughter of the late J. Edgar and Florence Wallick Yealy. She was the wife of Theron M. Bair, who died July 1, 2001.

She was valedictorian of her class in 1941 at Littlestown High School and was a housewife and involved in the family farm. She was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Littlestown where she was active in the quilting group. She enjoyed time with her family and assuring they had a quality education.

Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law Larry and Bonnie Bair, of Littlestown, Dale and Kathleen Bair, of Mechanicsburg, Donald and Jean Bair, of Gettysburg, David and Barb Bair, of Shelby Township, Mich., Thomas and Deb Bair, of Littlestown, and Jeff and Sarah Bair, of Gettysburg; daughters and sons-in-law Shirley and Robert Smith and Linda and Paul Guise, all of York Springs, and Janice and Ed Null, of Seven Valleys; 21 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother Dean Yealy, of Littlestown; and sisters Eloise Sentz, of Littlestown, Jean DeGroft, of Hanover, and Betty Dols, of Midlothian, Va.

She was predeceased by granddaughter Heather Bair, brother Edgar E. "Bud" Yealy and sister Lois Myers.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the time of a funeral service at 11 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, Littlestown, with her pastor, the Rev. John Largent, officiating. Interment will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Littlestown.
