Bryan G. Waugh, 88, of Manchester

Bryan Graham Waugh, 88, of Manchester, died Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Hanover Hospital in Hanover, Pennsylvania.

Born July 19, 1925, in North Carolina, he was the son of the late Howard Bledsoe Waugh and Carrie Graham Waugh. He was the husband of Henrietta Josephine Hoffman, who died in 1987.

He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ. He was a retired tool and die maker, and a Navy veteran of World War II who fought in the D-Day invasion. He enjoyed spending time with family. He was an avid Orioles fan but enjoyed all sports.

Surviving are children Susan Davidson and husband Wayne, of Manchester, Nancy Cuffley Hoover and husband Mike, of Hanover, Bryan "Marty" Waugh and wife Melissa, of Lynchburg, Virginia, and Steven Waugh and wife Joan, of Lineboro; siblings Alma Green and John Waugh, both of Lineboro, and Ed Waugh, of Glen Rock, Pennsylvania; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester. 

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Suzanne Adele Schmidt officiating. Interment will be in Trinity United Church of Christ Cemetery in Manchester.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Lineboro Volunteer Fire Department, 4224 Main St., Lineboro, MD 21102.
