Raymond T. 'Ted' Lawson, 84, of Hampstead

Raymond Theodore "Ted" Lawson, 84, of Hampstead, died Thursday, April 24, 2014, at Copper Ridge in Sykesville.

Born Dec. 21, 1929, in Elk Mills, he was the son of the late Earl Lawson and Dorothy Murray Lawson. He was the husband of Joan Beverly Rinder Lawson, his wife of 57 years.

He was a retired letter carrier from the United States Postal Service and was a veteran of the Army.

He was a member of the Hampstead American Legion Post 200. He was an active member of Manchester Baptist Church, where he had served as a Deacon.

Surviving are children James Stocksdale and wife Marislene, of Florida, Beverly Edna Lawson, of Ohio, and Franklin Theadore Lawson and wife Kelley, of Hampstead; grandchildren Kimberly Tremblay, Mayara Nunes and Narianne Rodriguez, all of Florida, Kristina Tremblay, of Louisiana, and Travis Miller, of Manchester; and step-grandchildren Cody Wisnieski and Hanna Wisnieski.

He was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Glen Rinder Sr.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with his pastor, the Rev. David Scafide, officiating. Interment will be in Manchester Baptist Church Cemetery in Manchester.
