Calvert Hall College High School's Instrumental Music Program

is holding its 3rd Annual Classic Car and Craft Show Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012 from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Event rain date is Sunday, Sept. 30 between noon - 4:30 p.m.

Spectators are free and everyone is welcome. There will be a craft vendor marketplace, food vendors and The Calvert Hall Jazz Orchestra will provide music and entertainment all day. All vehicle makes and models pre-dating 1987 are welcome. The competition pre-registration fee is $10 if received by Sept. 15 and $15 at the gate.

Registration for car entries is from 9 - 11 a.m. Dash plaques will be handed out for the first 100 cars to arrive at the event. The awards ceremony begins at 1:30 p.m. with trophies being awarded in 29 categories, including "Best of Show." The Hubert V. Simmons Negro Leagues Baseball Museum of Maryland

, 3800 Patterson Avenue in Baltimore, is hosting a free NLB Summer Camp for kids ages 8-12, Aug. 13-17 at the museum in the lower level of the Lochearn Presbyterian Church from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. Monday-Friday. Kids will learn about the Negro Leagues and the basics of the game. They will go on two field trips and meet Negro League baseball players. Snacks and beverages will be provided. "Sibling loss," a 90-minute workshop Wednesday Aug. 22 from 6:30-8 p.m. This workshop will explore the unique feelings raised by losing a sibling.

"Coping with the loss of a parent," a grief workshop Tuesday, Aug. 28 from 6:30-8 p.m.

This workshop will discuss what our parents represent for us, and how losing a parent differs from other losses.
"Understanding grief," a 90-minute workshop Tuesday, Sept. 11 from 6:30 - 8 p.m. This workshop will explore normal reactions to the loss of a loved one, provide reassurance that grief changes over time and instill hope that life can one again be rich and meaningful.
"Widowed person/ life partner grief support group," a group that allows the participants the opportunity to give and receive support and understanding while exploring the meaning and process of grief. Held for 6 consecutive Tuesdays beginning Sept. 4 through Oct. 16 from 6:30 - 8 p.m. Sessions are free, but registration is required.
"Mens grief support group," an on-going monthly group form en who have lost their spouse or life partner. Attendance at each meeting, through encouraged, is not mandatory, Saturday, Sept. 15 from 10 - noon.
"Craft Night," a social gathering for those who have lost a loved one Thursday, Sept. 6 from 6:30 - 8 p.m.
"Coping with special days," workshop offered to people who feel they need extra support in preparing for significant days after the death of a loved one - anniversaries, birthdays or holidays Wednesday, Sept. 12 from 6:30 - 8 p.m.
"Parenting after the loss of a spouse," a monthly meeting Wednesday, Sept. 19 from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m., offers an opportunity for Mom's and Dad's grieving the loss of their spouse/ significant other to get together and find support form one another at 555 W Towsontown Blvd. in Baltimore.

was founded by two United Methodist ministers in 1984. Its mission includes "improving the homes of and providing assistance for some limited income families in Baltimore County." Each year, more than 60 houses are repaired across the county, all during one week in July. The 29th Annual Workcamp will occur July 15-20, 2012.
