Baltimore Women of Vision

is holding their 7th annual Empty Bowls Fundraiser March 23 at the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium, 4-H building, 2200 York Road, Timonium. Lunch seating will take place between noon-2:30 p.m.; dinner seating will take place from 5-7:30 p.m. There will be a variety of soups from Baltimore's top restaurants, hundreds of hand-crafted ceramic bowls, silent auctions, raffles and more. The Baltimore Humane Society

is hosting a black tie gala event at The Grand Lodge, 304 International Circle, Hunt Valley, from 7-11 p.m. March 23. They will honor Captain Luis Carlos Montalvan and his service dog, Tuesday. Tickets are $125.

Cromwell Valley Park

, 2002 Cromwell Bridge Road, Baltimore, will host an Easter Egg Hunt from 10 a.m-noon March 30. Ages 3-4 hunt at 10:30 a.m., 5-6 at 10:45, 7-8 at 11 a.m. and 9-10 at 11:15 a.m.

In addition to the hunts, kids can make a spring bonnet, visit with the Easter Bunny, attend a 4H Rabbit Club presentation and participate in family games and egg dyeing.

There are no reservations required for the free event.

The Alzheimer's Association Greater Maryland Chapter
will present the Alzheimer's Association Annual Dementia Conference: Making Connections from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. April 26 at DoubleTree by Hilton, 1726 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville. Mark K. Shriver will discuss his book "A Good Man: Rediscovering My Father, Sargent Shriver," and Dr. Dean Hartley, the Alzheimer's Association's director of science initiatives will discuss early detection.
