The Carroll County Chamber of Commerce will host speaker, author, entrepreneur and community advocate Joe Mechlinski at its March 27 member luncheon.
Mechlinski, whose book Grow Regardless landed #3 on the New York Times best seller list, will discuss the underlying principles of his book and his company, entreQuest (eQ). The event will take place on Thursday, March 27 from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Portico of St. John in Westminster.
Since 2001, Mechlinski and eQ have been featured on FoxNews.com Live and Bloomberg Radio, as well as in the Baltimore Sun, Entrepreneur, The Daily Record, The Wall Street Journal Online and The Baltimore Business Journal, which named entreQuest one of its "Best Places to Work" in 2011, 2012, and 2013. Also in 2010, The Daily Record tapped Joe for its "Successful by 40" list, and in 2012 named him one of Maryland's Most Admired CEOs. In 2004, the Maryland Chamber of Commerce chose entreQuest as its Small Business of the Year.
"We are thrilled to have Joe speak at the lunch," says Chamber President Mike McMullin. "In this difficult economy, it's really tempting to dig in and try to survive instead of being focused on growing; but Joe promises to shed a lot of light on how, even with the challenges, we can all grow our businesses and fulfill our mission."
Mechlinski's appearance is part of a yearlong celebration of the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce's 90th anniversary. Seeking always to educate and inspire the 525 member businesses, non-profits, and community agencies, the Chamber regularly features speakers who are industry and community leaders.
