Letter: Can't justify shooting a child

In response to Jeff Copoulos' April 8 letter to the editor, let me say I agree with what he stated.

As a mother I can't get over the fact that Trayvon Martin was only 17. He was not old enough to vote or buy liquor.

It was said that he was shot because he was a threat. How was he a threat? He wasn't carrying a weapon.

Why was Zimmerman carrying a loaded weapon? Is that area really dangerous? Why isn't it patrolled by the real police who don't shoot children?

Now we have to worry about our children and crazy people running around with legal weapons.
