FSU announces scholarships

Frostburg State University recently announced that local students have received scholarships for study at the university.

Mary Jordy, of Westminster, received the English Scholarship: Pauline Tustin Hobbs Memorial and Academic Excellence Scholarship. She is the daughter of James and Constance Jordy, and was homeschooled.

Brendan Krivak, of Hampstead, received the Excellence in Mathematics Scholarship: Freshman Award and Academic Distinction Scholarship. He is the son of Julie Krivak and attended Manchester Valley High School.

Kelley Magee, of Sykesville, received the Foreign Language Redick Spanish Scholarship and Academic Excellence Scholarship. She is the daughter of Dale and Sally Magee, and attended Century High School.

Amy Virostek, of Westminster, received the Presidential Scholarship. She is the daughter of Brian and Mary Virostek, and attended Westminster High School.

Rick Limpert, of Mount Airy, received the Academic Distinction Scholarship. He is the son of John Limpert and Janet Limpert, and attended Linganore High School.

Taylor Mack, of Mount Airy, received the University Scholarship. He is the son of Jay and Jennifer Mack, and attended Linganore High School.
