OWINGS MILLS - Peyton Manning, Demaryius Thomas, Eric Decker and Wes Welker are the headliners of the Broncos' passing game, but Ravens cornerback Jimmy Smith said Tuesday that he was impressed with Denver tight end Julius Thomas on tape and that Thomas is another player the Ravens will need to account for Thursday night.
Thomas is an athletic former basketball player who the Broncos took in the fourth round of the 2011 NFL draft. He only has one catch through his first two seasons with Denver, but he had 12 catches for 123 yards in the three preseason games he played in this summer.
"He's catching the ball pretty well," Smith said. "He's making some big plays for them."
