announced a new scholarship opportunity for graduating students of Franklin High School, Mount De Sales Academy, Mount Saint Joseph High School, Seton Keough High School, and Catonsville High School, who will be attending an institution of higher learning in the state of Maryland. Hannah More School in Reisterstown

is holding a golf tournament fundraiser Friday, May 11, at Westminster National Golf Course at 2158 Littlestown Pike in Westminster. Check-in for the tournament begins at noon with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. The tournament, played in a four-player scramble format, also includes putting, longest drive and closest-to-pin contests as well as hole-in-one vacations, raffles and a silent auction. Registration is $85 per person and $320 per team of four. Registration includes range balls, 18 holes of golf with cart, gift bag, drink tickets, steak dinner and prizes. For more information, visit

Glyndon Elementary School

is holding its annual Kindergarten Roundup on Monday, May 14, from 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. for the 2012-2013 school year. Children whose birth dates fall between 9/2/07-9/1/08 may register for pre-kindergarten and birth dates that fall between 9/2/06-9/1/07 may register for kindergarten. Parents of children born between Sept. 2, 2006, and Sept. 1, 2007, and living in the Cedarmere district, should contact the school to schedule an appointment for kindergarten registration. Screening for the prekindergarten program at Cedarmere Elementary School is Tuesday, May, 22. Children born between Sept. 2, 2007, and Sept. 1, 2008, and living in the Cedarmere district are eligible. The prekindergarten program at Cedarmere is 2.5 hours per day, morning and afternoon session. Documents necessary for enrolling include, child's birth certificate, immunization record, a lease or deed, three pieces of current business mail, and the parent or guardian's photo ID. A new episode of BCPS News
, highlighting Baltimore County Public Schools' achievements and progress, airs from Monday, April 23, through Sunday, May 6. The show is hosted by Mary Beth Marsden. GR8Travel4Teens
is accepting applications for a scholarship awarded to teens that want to travel abroad and experience new cultures. The nonprofit organization encourages youth to travel abroad in hopes that they will gain an understanding of the world and become leaders who will work toward world peace. The scholarship is available to individuals between 13-20 who are traveling through school-organized or non-profit agency-organized trips to a country other than the one they live in. Hannah More School
, 12039 Reisterstown Road in Reisterstown, is accepting donations of empty printer cartridges, no longer needed cell phones and small electronics for a recycling fundraiser. To date, Hannah More School has raised close to $2,000 through the FundingFactory program. Donations can be dropped off at Hannah More School during school business hours. The school is also seeking local businesses to register as "Business Supporters" for the FundingFactory Recycling Program. These businesses would donate their empty printer cartridges and other recyclable electronics and Hannah More School would receive credit for those donations. For more information, contact Joan D.
