ELDERSBURG — The Road Runners Auto Club of Maryland will host the eighth annual Shane Evans Car Show and benefit for the Fallen Officers Scholarship Fund on Saturday, May 28, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Carrolltown Center, Ridge Road and Route 26, Eldersburg.
The show is open to all vehicles and includes classes for tuners and motorcycles, as well as vintage and active police vehicles. Entry fee is $15 to pre-register, $20 at the gate. Registration cutoff is noon.
Dash plaques will be awarded to the first 200 cars. There will also be a 50/50 raffle, a display from the Sykesville-Freedom
District Fire Department, vendors and food. The rain date is Sunday, May 29, noon to 6 p.m.
The late Shane Evans was an Eldersburg resident and an Annapolis police officer who was killed in a 2003 motorcycle accident. Proceeds from the show go to children of Maryland police officers.
