One woman died Saturday morning when two vehicles collided on Route 140 near Westminster.

Barbara Ann Elban was struck in her 2003 Toyota Camry by a pickup truck at the crossing of Route 140 and Bethel Road, according to state police. A passenger in the Toyota, Michael Daniel Elban, was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Conclusions from an initial investigation state that the pickup truck ran a red light, striking the Camry.

According to the state police, the pickup's driver, 28-year-old Seth Wilhelm Baier, refused treatment.
