Horse on the loose in Upperco along Carroll, Baltimore line

A gray gelding horse jumped a fence in the Upperco area of Baltimore County and was last seen on the move in Carroll County, a horse rescue organization said Tuesday morning.

The horse was seen running south on Black Rock Road near Benson Mill in an area that's east of Route 30, and was seen in Carroll County in the evening, according to Stolen Horse International Inc., which reported the runaway horse and warned "he could be in danger to himself or to others."

The 5-year-old Oldenburg horse, named Iron League, had on a purple blanket and halter, the alert said. The horse is microchipped.

"We just want to make sure we get him back," said Debi Metcalfe of Stolen Horse International, which is based in North Carolina. She said she started the alert website after one of her horses was stolen.
