A wood stove ignited a fire Saturday afternoon that damaged a home in Manchester, fire officials said.
The two-story, wood-frame home, in the 2500 block of Mindi Drive in the Carroll County community, sustained $100,000 damage, according to the Maryland State Fire Marshal's office.
No injuries were reported, but the family was displaced because of the damage.
The one-alarm fire, which was reported at 1:57 p.m. on Saturday, was under control after an hour, with 50 firefighters from the Manchester Volunteer Fire Department responding, according to the fire marshal.
The fire originated inside the wall and attic space of the home, the fire marshal said.
