A Craigslist user and a 7-Eleven clerk were robbed at gunpoint in separate incidents in Anne Arundel County this weekend, police said.
A 24-year-old man was robbed in Severn about 4:50 p.m. Saturday outside a home at the 1800 block of Oriole Ct., where he had planned to buy a dirt bike he'd seen on Craigslist, police said. Before the man got to the door, one of four suspects pointed a black-and-silver handgun at him, and another demanded everything out of his pockets, police said. The victim gave them money, a cellphone and other items.
The two suspects who approached the victim wore black ski masks during the robbery, while the other two served as look-outs, police said. The victim described them to police only as "tall and skinny" black teenagers.
The home where the bike was listed for sale was vacant, police said.
In the second robbery, police said a thin, 6-foot-tall white man in a black winter jacket and jeans walked up to the counter at a 7-Eleven in Pasadena with a handgun tucked into his waist band about 1:30 a.m. Sunday.
The suspect took money from the cash register and drove off in an old, dark-colored Ford Explorer, police said.
Neither victim was harmed, and suspects have not been found in either robbery, police said. Both are under investigation. Anyone with information was asked to call Anne Arundel County police or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP.
