Traffic: Incident on I-95 in Howard

A collision involving a single vehicle has closed one shoulder lane northbound on I-95 at the exit for Rt. 100, according to the transportation department.

The Maryland State High Administration is urging drivers to avoid traveling if possible Monday morning. As of 9:15 a.m., officials report that secondary roads still have snow coverage.

The administration also warns that with more than 2,500 crew members on the road, motorists should expect to encounter snow plows and plow trains.

The Maryland Transit Administration reported that, as a result of wintry weather, only MARC trains designated with the letter "S" will be operating, but there were some minor delays as of 7:50 a.m.

As of 9:15 a.m., the light rail is seeing minor delays as well.

Transit officials also announced that some bus routes have been modified. The full details can be found on the MTA website.

Baltimore/Washington International Airport officials are encouraging travelers to check with their airlines regarding flight schedules as the snowfall has caused some flight delays and cancellations.
