Fire damages Aberdeen warehouse

No one was injured in a fire early Monday afternoon in Aberdeen.

The single-alarm warehouse fire, reported at 1 p.m., was under control by about 1:45 p.m., according to Rich Gardiner, of the Harford County Volunteer Fire & EMS Association.

Gardiner said about 30 firefighters remained at the warehouse in the 700 block of West Bel Air Avenue as of about 2:30 p.m. for overhaul operations, which entail checking for hot spots and removing burned items from the fire site, Gardiner wrote in an email.

An investigator with the Office of the State Fire Marshal was dispatched to the scene.
