Traffic: Volumes easing, SHA reminds of new ramp at White Marsh

As of 9:15 a.m., traffic was easing throughout the region, though volumes were still heavy on the west side of the beltway.

The State Highway Administration is reminding motorists that there's a new traffic pattern in effect at White Marsh Boulevard (Route 43). The northbound exit ramps from Interstate 95 onto both eastbound and westbound White Marsh Boulevard have been converted into a single exit — exit 67.

Commuters should take this new single ramp if they are getting onto White Marsh Boulevard — once you are on it, it splits to go in either east or west directions. The new configuration is part of the work being done to prepare for express toll lanes next year.

The Maryland Transit Administration is reporting light rail and MARC trains are operating on time.
