Severe thunderstorm watch issued for Baltimore area

A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for the Baltimore area by the National Weather Service.

The watch was issued at 3:34 p.m. Sunday and is in effect through 9 p.m., the NWS said.

Storms could produce high winds and heavy downpours that could result in flash flooding, the NWS said. Hail is also possible, the service said.
