A man was shot in the back early Thursday in Baltimore's Penn North neighborhood, near Druid Hill Park, according to city police.

The shooting was reported at 3:38 a.m. in the 2500 block of Woodbrook Ave. The 43-year-old victim was shot in the shoulder and was in stable condition at last check, police said.
