The National Weather Service was calling for Thursday to be mostly cloudy in the Baltimore area, with a high near 76 and winds becoming northerly between 14 and 17 miles per hour. There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m., then a chance of showers after 3 p.m.
A small craft advisory is in effect for portions of the Chesapeake Bay and lower tidal Potomac River Thursday and Friday.
Thursday night was expected to be mostly cloudy during the early evening then clearing up, with a low around 54 and north winds between 8 and 16 miles per hour.
Friday was expected to be mostly sunny, with a high near 69 degrees and north winds of 5 to 8 miles per hour.
Friday night was expected to be partly cloudy, with a low around 55 and calm winds.
