Baltimore Police officer injured in car accident

A Baltimore Police officer was injured early Sunday morning during a car accident downtown. At about 2:18 a.m. the female officer, who was not identified, was entering the intersection of the 800 block of W. Pratt Street in a marked Chevy Impala police cruiser when it was struck on the passenger side by a 2002 Ford Crown Victoria. The officer was transported to Shock Trauma with non-life threatening injuries and complained of back, neck and stomach pain. The operator of the Ford, who police did not identify, complained of back pain but was not taken to a hospital. Both vehicles were towed from the scene and police are investigating. Nicole Fuller
