19-year-old woman dies in triple shooting in Northeast Baltimore

Baltimore police have identified a 19-year-old woman who died after a triple shooting Saturday evening in Northeast Baltimore.

Tanise Ervin was pronounced dead at Johns Hopkins Hospital about two hours after the 6 p.m. incident outside a delicatessen on the 1100 block of Gorsuch Avenue, according to Det. Kevin Brown, a spokesman for the police.

In his account of the incident, officers who were dispatched to the scene found three people suffering from gunshot wounds. One was Ervin, and her companions were two men, one aged 24, the other 20.

An investigation revealed that as the trio left the deli at the intersection of Gorsuch Avenue and Independence Street they were fired upon, although it was not clear by whom. No arrests have been made in the case.

The two male victims were hospitalized and listed in stable condition.
