A 33-year-old Carroll County man pleaded guilty Friday to two counts of "sexually exploiting a child to product child pornography," the Maryland U.S. Attorney's office announced.
While executing a search warrant, Maryland State Police troopers found more than 1,000 images of child pornography and 500 videos on computers belonging to Daniel Walter Blake of Hampstead, according to court records. Most of the images involved young boys and "portrayed sadistic or masochistic conduct or other depictions of violence," federal prosecutors said.
Blake admitted abusing two prepubescent boys. As part of the plea deal, he has agreed to a 30-year prison sentence, which has yet to be approved by a federal judge. Sentencing is set for May 31.
