Man critically hurt in afternoon shooting

A man was critically hurt in a shooting Monday afternoon in West Baltimore, Baltimore police said.

On Monday around 1:30 p.m., officers reported to the 2100 block of Hollins Street in the Booth-Boyd neighborhood, where they found a 27-year-old man shot in the upper right torso.

Police said the shooting occurred in the 2100 block of Boyd Street, a block from where the victim was found. The man was taken to an area hospital and is in critical condition.

Police had no information on a suspect or motive in the shooting.
