Woman, 32, drowns off Ocean City

The body of a 32-year-old woman was recovered from the ocean off Ocean City early Saturday, police said. She appeared to have drowned.

Officer Michael Levy, a police spokesman, said officers had been summoned to the beach at 70th Street about 2 a.m. in response to a call about a drowning. The woman's death was not considered suspicious but is being investigated, he said.

Levy said there would be no further information about the case until the results of an autopsy are released. He could not say whether the woman had been alone or with someone when she died.
