City police investigate 3 Monday evening shootings

City police were investigating three shootings Monday evening, two which occurred within blocks in Northeast Baltimore and another near a crowded intersection on North Avenue that left a man in critical condition.

A 46-year-old man was shot after an apparent argument over a bus pass about 6 p.m. at the intersection of North and Pennsylvania avenues, said Donny Moses, a police spokesman. He was struck multiple times in the back.

Police were also investigating two non-fatal shootings within blocks in Northeast Baltimore. About 3:30 p.m., a man was shot in the leg in the 4200 block of Loch Raven Blvd. and jumped on a bus, Moses said. Later, at about 8 p.m., a man was shot in the back and leg in the 1600 block of Ralworth Road, about two blocks away.
