Four men shot in Baltimore overnight, two fatally

Four separate overnight shootings in Baltimore claimed the lives of two men and left another two wounded, a police spokeswoman said this morning.

The two killings occurred within an hour of each other. In the first, a man was shot in the head shortly before 2 a.m. on the 3400 block of Garrison Blvd. in Northwest Baltimore, the spokeswoman said. In the second, about a half-hour later, a man was found in a car on the 3300 block of Lawnview Ave. in Northeast Baltimore, also shot in the head.

The other two shootings took place earlier Wednesday night. A 25-year-old man was shot in the right thigh shortly before 10 p.m. on the 400 block of Watty Court, and a 21-year-old man was shot in the left thigh about 90 minutes later on the 1500 block of Abbotston St.

In the Watty Court incident, the victim told police that he was in a courtyard when he saw two men approach. "One pulled a gun and started firing," the spokeswoman said. The injured man managed to reach a nearby doorstep, where a police office found him.

Police have not made any arrests in any of the incidents.
