Dundalk woman killed in high-speed crash

A Dundalk woman was killed early today when her car, traveling at what police say was "a high rate of speed," left a road on a curve, struck a utility pole and then a building.

Michelle Kosmicki, 27, of the 2800 block of Larkhall Road was driving south on North Point Road in a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee when the accident occurred at about 2:15 a.m. The vehicle rolled over into the side of a Drug City Pharmacy, according to a spokesman for the Baltimore County police.

Kosmicki was pronounced dead at the scene, Cpl. Michael Hill said.

There was no serious damage to the utility pole or the building, Hill said, and no indication that Kosmicki had been under the influence of alcohol.
