Anne Arundel teens indicted in rock-throwing

Two 17-year-old high school lacrosse players have been indicted on felony charges that they threw rocks at pedestrians, injuring them. The indictment comes less than two weeks after Anne Arundel County prosecutors dropped the initial adult charges in favor of reduced charges that sent the cases to juvenile court. Wade Korvin, of Odenton, who was on the Archbishop Spalding team, and Wesley Stryker, of Millersville, who played for Severna Park, were indicted Friday on charges of first-degree assault, second-degree assault and reckless endangerment in injuries that occurred in June, prosecutors said. Prosecutors, who had reduced the charges to misdemeanor assault that had to be tried in juvenile court, learned that the rocks were larger than what police initially thought, and so brought the cases to a grand jury Friday.
