One firefighter sustained minor injuries battling an early morning blaze Friday in East Baltimore, according to Baltimore Fire Department officials.
The fire started at about 6 a.m. in a vacant two-story brick row house in the 2700 block of Chase St. The fire spread to a home next door, and all residents had to be evacuated, fire officials said.
Firefighters brought the blaze under control in less than an hour. The vacant home suffered damage throughout, and the roof of the house next door was compromised.
No one else was injured.
