Baltimore County police are searching for a man they say sexually assaulted a 43-year-old woman in her Woodlawn home.
Police responded to a call for a sexual assault in the 6300 block of Monika Place on Saturday and found the victim, who said a man broke into her residence through a window and forced her to commit a sexual act. The victim told police that she fought back and injured the suspect by hitting him on his head with an unidentified object. The suspect then ran from the residence, police said.
The victim was taken to Greater Baltimore Medical Center at about midnight where she was treated and released.
About two hours after the alleged assault, police say they received a call for an attempted burglary in the 1000 block of Coleridge Court. Police say the suspect in the burglary fits a similar description to the man accused of the sexual assault.
The suspect is described as a black man, about 24 years old, 5 foot 8 with an average build and medium complexion. He was wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans and he may have a cut on his head, police said.
Anyone with information is asked to call 410-307-2020 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7-LOCKUP.
