Baltimore Co. councilman involved in two-car accident

Four-term Baltimore County Councilman Bryan McIntire was involved in a two-car accident Thursday evening in Timonium.

There were no injuries to McIntire or the as-yet unidentified driver of the other car.

Details were incomplete, but Lt. Robert McCullough, a county police spokesman, confirmed the accident late Friday afternoon. He said McIntire was traveling southbound on Jenifer Road when he attempted to make a left turn onto Timonium Road.

"He failed to give the right of way and pulled out in front of another car," McCullough said.

McIntire, 77, is the lone Republican on the council representing the 3rd District, including Parkton, part of Timonium and Kingsville. Currently in his fourth term, he is running for re-election.

McCullough could not say whether any tickets were issued. Both cars had to be towed, he said.
