A Virginia judge is expected to issue a ruling next week on a request by four news organizations to unseal documents related to the police investigation of the killing of University of Virginia women's lacrosse player Yeardley Love, according to news reports.

Albemarle County Circuit Court Judge Cheryl Higgins heard arguments Tuesday on the motion to open to the public's view sealed search warrant records in the case. The motion was filed by the (Charlottesville, Va.) Daily Progress, the Richmond (Va.) Times-Dispatch, The Washington Post and the Associated Press.

Attorneys for George Huguely, 22, of Chevy Chase, a Virginia senior men's lacrosse player who was charged this month with killing the Cockeysville native and Notre Dame Prep graduate, testified that they did not participate in hearings requesting that the records be sealed.
