GW student dies after fall from dormitory window

A George Washington University student has died after falling from a dormitory window.

University president Steven Knapp announced the student's death during commencement on Sunday, and graduates observed a moment of silence.

Taylor Hubbard of Lexington Park, Md., fell out of a window at Guthridge Hall around 4 a.m. Saturday. Officials say the 20-year-old sophomore was taken to George Washington University Hospital.

There's no word on why Hubbard was at the dorm or what caused him to fall.

D.C. and campus police are investigating the incident.
