Police identify victim in Hanover motorcycle fatality

A 25-year-old motorcyclist was killed when he sped through a red light in Hanover Friday night.

Gustin Samuel Page of 7500 block of Lemon Tree Court in Hanover died after his 2004 Suzuki GSX R 600 motorcycle drove through a red light, striking another driver, Anne Arundel County Police said.

Page was pronounced dead at Baltimore Washington Medical Center, the other driver, Norman Walter Faber, Jr., 52, of 5600 block of Vancouver Court in Churchton, suffered non-life threatening injuries, according a police news release.

Police said Page was driving west of Dorsey Road at about 6:13 p.m. when Faber was making a left hand turn from Candlewood Road onto eastbound Dorsey Road. Page couldn't slow down for the red light, causing him to hit the driver's side of Faber's 1992 Nissan 300 ZX.

Before the crash, Page was driving recklessly and speeding, witnesses told police. Page had been riding on the rear wheel of the motorcycle, police said.

Page was wearing a helmet, but police said it was not properly fastened.
